Living Meditation

she sat
until
she was part of the seasons
breathing with the rhythm of the earth
and
heart beating with the sun and moon

  2. Oh Tammie, we should all be so wise as your subject. Part of the seasons and breathing with the earth.

    1. You are so right, solstice was on my mind while this one came to life. Even though it has green mountains.
I have been taking to heart the shorter days and long nights. Thank you for your lovely message Dori.

  6. I really appreciate this intense drawing. Though it's winter now, maybe she also thinks of summer-solstice...

The new technique fits wonderful to the mountains!

  7. She looks so utterly content and at peace. What a beautiful painting! There's a wonderful feeling of strength emanating from it. I wonder if she can hear the mysterious hum that the earth makes, and whether they are making a harmonious tune together.

  9. I've been terribly negligent in the blog world this year, wanted to pop in and see you at last. I have to marvel at the way your art has just grown and grown in style and quality over the years. You've developed a wonderful style, all your own and it is just delightful! Merry Christmas and a Jolly Good New Year my fellow artist friend.
