DC: Frida

thinking of Frida
feeling into the trials and joys of her life
roots and wings came to me
she painted her life
through roots and wings
more than the conventional and expected ways
~

thank you Patrice
for hosting this week
and your wonderful prompt

  1. LOVE your Frida with her roots and wings, really wonderful. There's a nice quote from Waitley, 'The greatest gifts you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence'. Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie

  9. Roots and wings. One holds firm and the other soars. Frida must have felt that way in her life. She is such an inspirational woman of courage and joy and laughter. xo Carole

  14. She looks like a sister of Frida Kahlo. Her wings are also from a stag.. Her roots are like a warm fire ..I feel with her having sheep: roots, earth - having doves: wings, heaven.

Much challenges in life . The RIGHT fire must burn, fire making warm and giving energy and not destroy

  15. Roots and Wings! Yes, I love your Painting. But there is also a question in it: can you fly, if you have so strong roots?
